To play within the NYHL, each player and goalie must be registered with a USA Hockey number every year. Note: there is a $40 fee for registration. All coaches, managers, officials, and volunteers who assist on the ice or in the locker rooms officially must also have a USA Hockey number, as well as a background check to ensure the safety of the children.
